HOW MICRO-FRESH® WORKS

HOW MICRO-FRESH® WORKS

Micro-Fresh® is a British made, smart antimicrobial technology that contains natural active ingredients to block the growth and spread of pathogenic and odour-causing bacteria. It can be applied to almost any product, and its practical and long-lasting 'triple-action' treatment also inhibits mould, preserves freshness and provides confidence at every stage of the supply chain.

TRIPLE-ACTION EXPLAINED

TRIPLE-ACTION EXPLAINED

Our innovative technology works by diffusing Ions through bacteria cells via a process called ion-exchange.

This action disrupts the cell wall, preventing growth. In addition, the positively-charged ions become attracted to the negatively charged thiol groups in the bacteria cell enzymes, which stops bacteria from producing energy.
Finally, these ions attach to the cell DNA, blocking replication and the formation of any new cells. We add a tracer ingredient for quality assurance and verification purposes, which is identified using our state-of-the-art detector pen. This ensures every product is fully protected and bacteria resistant.
